Responsibilities

  • Identify Automation & Digitalization (AD) opportunities at sites with the aim to improve productivity/cost saving/positive customer satisfaction.
  • Work with Operations Leads to drive AD agenda in their sector and ensure effective implementation.
  • Be involved with new business projects to identify better ways to innovate the current work process.
  • Lead process improvement projects and process transformation through automation, digitisation and mechanisation approach.
  • Develops local best practices, policies and procedures of the respective division's existing operational processes and systems, new legislations & improve the performance standards.
  • Facilitate the project coaching and tollgate with the project leader.
  • Progressive update on the project implementation to the SMT.
  • Work closely with the vendor to follow-up on the project progress till the project completion.
  • Conduct Gemba walk to the site to identify room of improvement and good practices.
  • Lead replication of good practice and continuous improvement (CI) across the site.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related f ield.
  • Fresh graduate or up to 3 years experiences in Supply Chain and Warehousing industry is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including good facilitation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to express an opposing view effectively and diplomatically.
  • Ability to enter and manipulate data to generate reports in a timely manner.
  • Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing using applications such as Microsoft Office for tracking, analysing, and communicating related data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust priorities in response to
    business needs, including ability to lead multiple projects simultaneous.

The company group delivers over 1.6 billion parcels per year. DHL Express is market leader for parcel services in Europe and Germany's main Courier and Parcel Service.
The company DHL itself was founded in San Francisco, United States, in 1969 and expanded its service throughout the world by the late 1970s. In 1979, under the name of DHL Air Cargo, the company entered the Hawaiian islands with an inter-island cargo service using two DC-3 and four DC-6 aircraft. Adrian Dalsey and Larry Hillblom personally oversaw the daily operations until its eventual bankruptcy closed the doors in 1983. At its peak, DHL Air Cargo employed just over 100 workers, management and pilots.
