Role Overview:
This role is responsible for overseeing both the full spectrum of accounting functions and human resource management within the organization. It plays a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective people management to support business operations and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full set of accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory reporting, audit requirements, and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities when necessary
- Monitor cash flow, manage treasury functions, and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial efficiency
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, statutory contributions, and compliance with labor laws
- Lead the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training & development, employee relations, and policy implementation
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives and local employment legislation
- Act as a key point of contact for employee-related matters, fostering a positive workplace culture and addressing grievances or disciplinary issues when required
- Support management in organizational planning, manpower budgeting, and talent retention strategies
- Collaborate with regional or headquarters teams to align financial and HR practices with global standards and initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent will be an added advantage
- Minimum 58 years of relevant experience handling full set accounts and HR functions, preferably within a commercial or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax compliance, and employment laws
- Proven ability to handle both finance and HR responsibilities independently in a managerial capacity
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality with professionalism
