The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading all financial aspects of the companies, compliance with MFRS, and other statutory requirements to achieve strategic business objectives and long-term sustainability. You will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
1. Financial Strategy, Governance & Compliance
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure strong financial governance aligned with Group strategy and compliance with MFRS, regulatory requirements, and Bursa Malaysia standards.
- Oversee timely submission of statutory accounts, monthly and quarterly reporting, and Board papers across relevant business entities.
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management frameworks, and audit readiness across operations.
2. Enterprise Performance Management
- Drive enterprise performance through development of KPIs, dashboards, and structured monthly performance reviews across operating entities.
- Provide commercial insights and financial analytics to support profitability improvement, cost optimisation, and operational performance enhancement.
3. Strategic Business Partnering Across End-to-End Supply Chain
- Partner closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial teams to enhance value creation across the full value chain.
- Evaluate business plans, pricing strategies, investment proposals, and cost-to-serve optimisation initiatives.
- Assess financial implications of operational strategies, cost drivers, and productivity programmes to strengthen bottom-line performance.
- Lead financial evaluation and due diligence for capex, expansion, and efficiency improvement projects.
4. IBP / S&OP Financial Leadership
- Provide financial leadership within IBP / S&OP by translating demand and supply plans into clear financial outcomes covering service, cost, inventory, and risk.
- Conduct scenario modelling and stress-testing related to demand volatility, capacity constraints, and operational disruptions.
- Challenge plans that optimise volume or service levels at the expense of margin, cash flow, or enterprise value.
5. Budgeting, Forecasting & Resource Allocation
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast cycles, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operational realities.
- Monitor monthly performance against budget with clear variance analysis and forward-looking insights.
- Support optimal resource allocation through robust financial modelling and scenario planning.
6. Finance Transformation & Shared Services Enablement
- Drive finance process improvement, digitisation, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and agility.
- Collaborate with Group Finance and IT on ERP implementation, reporting automation, and analytics capabilities.
- Support Shared Services Centre standardisation and performance as part of operational excellence initiatives.
7. Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and develop the Finance team through clear performance expectations, coaching, and capability development.
- Build a high-performance culture grounded in ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Champion succession planning and talent development within the finance function.
8. Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Support strategic programmes including supply chain transformation, cost optimisation, sustainability initiatives, and business continuity planning.
- Provide financial leadership in risk mitigation and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, a professional qualification (ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA/ ICAEW/ MICPA) or equivalent
Experience:
More than 10 years of working experience in a financial managerial position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
