Position Summary
- To support general accounting administration for assigned entities.
Job Description
- To support general accounting administration for assigned entities.
- Supports decision making in forecasting and weekly / monthly / quarterly reporting by providing timely and concise analysis.
- Assists with month-end closing activities.
- Assists with financial audits and tax compliance.
- Handles GL for multiple entities.
- Executes payment on a timely manner and accurately in compliance with company policies, procedures, and controls.
- Coordinate with all entities and functions to ensure timely and accurate closing on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Prepares journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
- Monitors bank administration activities and support corporate treasury services.
- Prepares Cashflow forecast for multiple entities
- Prepares bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for inter-company and related company's transactions and balances and resolve reconciling items.
- Prepares monthly balance sheet schedules.
- Prepares monthly/quarterly GST/VAT/WHT reporting, reconciliation report and corporate tax computation on a timely basis.
- Prepares Annual Statutory Financial Statements for the assigned portfolio of entities
- Supply data and liaise with external auditors as necessary. Escalate issues and risks on a timely basis.
- Involves in transitioning the regional GL activities to SSC in Malaysia and new Oracle, ERP implementation.
- Assists in streamlining and improving the R2R process.
- Supports decision making in forecasting and weekly / monthly/ quarterly reporting by providing timely and concise analysis.
- Assists in statistical submissions.
Education, Experience And Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related majors or professional certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA).
- 5 to 8 years working experience in GL with finance audit background is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, Oracle and ERP software.
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin, both verbal and written is essential. ** We are seeking candidate's proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking counterpart to support communication in a multicultural work environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, Oracle and ERP software.
- Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team.
- Able to effectively communicate with internal and external parties.
- Must be willing to work at Regus, Gurney, Penang Island, Malaysia.
