Job Description

  • Develop and execute strategic business plan to achieve Business Banking objectives and sales target, covering all segments within Business Banking, including borrowing and non-borrowing customers
  • Drive revenue growth and manage profitability for Business Banking segment across the region
  • Drive the marketing activities of Business Banking full suite of products and services to achieve the target for interest and fee-based income. This includes Lending, Deposits, and fee-based income products and cross-sell
  • Ensure excellent customer service by proactively identifying business opportunities, build customer relationship and expand market reach
  • Responsible for the Asset Quality Management for the region
  • Develop and lead the Area Commercial Managers and sales team, as well as the Business Wealth Management team for Business Banking to ensure effective coordination and drive cross-selling activities
  • Collaborate with key business partners, such as Consumer Banking, Treasury, Transaction Banking, Islamic Banking to drive business synergy with the end goal of realising Business Banking's strategy and business plans
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to drive shared goals/outcomes, such as CIMB Banca partners (Sompo, Sunlife), Principal, etc
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and practices for managing and mitigating business risks and people issues
  • Ensure all staff adheres to all internal as well as external policies and regulations such as credit guidelines, risk policies, audit and statutory compliance and regulations

Job requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing Business Banking sales portfolio in financial institutions
  • Proven track record of leading and managing sales force preferably in Business Banking segment
  • Strong leadership qualities and people management abilities
  • Strong credit and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Motivated, self-driven individual with strong commitment to integrity, professionalism and teamwork
  • Good network in the banking industry
  • Able to build strong culture of service excellence
