To supports the HR Director in delivering end-to-end HR operations and people initiatives at
plant level. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, balancing daily HR operations with
people management, compliance, and workforce support to ensure smooth business continuity.
Job Responsibilities
HR Strategy Support & Execution
- Support the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives, translating plans into practical on-the-ground execution.
Talent Acquisition & Manpower Planning
- Coordinate and execute end-to-end recruitment activities, workforce planning, and onboarding processes to meet operational hiring needs in a timely manner.
Performance & Rewards Administration
- Assist in managing performance appraisal cycles, employee confirmations, and salary reviews; ensure consistent application of performance and reward frameworks.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Handle day-to-day employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary cases, counselling, and engagement activities to promote a positive and stable work environment.
Learning & Development Coordination
- Support training needs analysis, organise training programmes, maintain training records, and assist in career development initiatives.
Compliance, Governance & HR Risk
- Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysian labour laws, company policies, and audit requirements; support investigations and documentation where required.
HR Operations & Administration
- Oversee HR operational activities including payroll coordination, attendance, personnel records, policy implementation, and continuous improvement of HR processes.
Plant & Workforce Support
- Manage foreign worker administration, hostel matters, workplace discipline, safety coordination, security controls, and 5S initiatives to support smooth site operations.
People & Team Support
- Supervise junior HR team members, provide guidance on daily HR matters, and act as a reliable point of support to line managers and employees.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Portfolio Exposure: Mandarin speaker preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of HR experience with exposure to recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, and compliance; manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Skills & Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgement in handling people issues, hands-on execution capability, and good stakeholder management.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of Malaysian labour laws and practical HR application within a plant or operations-driven environment.
