Job Description

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR functions and supporting the execution of HR strategies in alignment with business needs. This role bridges strategic direction and operational implementation under the guidance of the General Manager.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

  1. Support the General Manager, Group HR in implementing HR strategies and plans that contribute to the organization's goals and workforce requirements.
  2. Partner with department heads and line managers to identify HR solutions that improve productivity, talent management, and team effectiveness.
  3. Lead and coordinate core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, employee relations, and rewards administration.
  4. Oversee employee engagement activities and communications to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with company values.
  5. Assist in managing change initiatives, including organizational restructuring, process improvements, and culture building efforts.
  6. Provide advisory support to line managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  7. Monitor and manage employee relations matters, addressing issues proactively to maintain industrial harmony and staff well-being.
  8. Coordinate training and development programs to strengthen employee capabilities and address competency gaps across departments.
  9. Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date, implemented effectively, and comply with relevant employment legislation.
  10. Supervise accurate and timely execution of HR operations including payroll coordination, HRIS updates, manpower reporting, and audit support.
  11. Participate in HR projects or cross-functional initiatives as assigned by the General Manager, Group HR.
  12. To adhere to code of business conduct (COBC)
  13. To adhere to Deleum and the customer's QHSE requirements.
  14. To perform any other tasks or assignments as required by immediate supervisors and/or the management from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB

  1. Knowledge in Employment Act and Industrial Act.
  2. At least 8-10 years experience in full HR spectrum as a HR Generalist.
  3. Excellent interpersonal presentation, influencing skills and ability to engage with people.
  4. Strong data analytics skills will be an advantage

ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

  1. Degree in Human Resource Management. Or/and
  2. A member of MIHRM, SHRM or any HR professional qualifications.
