Industrial engineer - Speak to me

We are seeking a few highly motivated Industrial Engineers to support and optimize high-volume Li-ion battery manufacturing operations. This role will focus on improving production efficiency, yield, cost, and quality across electrode, cell assembly, formation, and pack processes, while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes across Li-ion battery production lines, including electrode preparation, cell assembly, formation, aging, and module/pack assembly
  • Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, and layout optimization for new and existing production lines
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve OEE, yield, throughput, and cost
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation
  • Support ramp-up of new production lines, process scaling, and mass production readiness
  • Collaborate closely with production, process engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare data-driven reports for management review
  • Support automation, digital manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 initiatives within the plant

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 35years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in Li-ion batteries, energy storage, EV, or electronics manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization tools
  • Experience with time study, capacity modeling, line design, and productivity improvement
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, MES/ERP systems)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience in high-volume, highly automated production environments
  • Exposure to battery manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems
  • Experience supporting new factory ramp-ups or greenfield projects
