Job Description

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of corporate communications, brand management, and sustainability. As part of the Brand, People & Sustainability (BPS) function, you will work closely with the team to support real projects across internal communications, brand governance, events, and ESG-related initiatives. You will be exposed to how organisations shape their messaging, manage their brand, and drive sustainability efforts in practice. This role is best suited for individuals who are curious, detail-oriented, and keen to build a strong foundation in communications within a purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Communications & Content Development

  • Assist in drafting and editing content for internal communications, emailers, website, and external materials
  • Support the development of clear, concise, and on-brand messaging across platforms
  • Conduct background research to support content development (e.g. ESG topics, organisational initiatives)
  • Assist in proofreading and refining materials to ensure consistency and accuracy

2. Brand Governance & Quality Control

  • Support the coordination and organisation of materials submitted for Brand/Comms review
  • Assist in conducting preliminary checks for brand alignment based on provided guidelines 
  • Maintain proper documentation and tracking of approved materials and versions
  • Support the upkeep of brand templates and guidelines

3. Events & Engagement

  • Provide support in the planning and execution of events (e.g. roundtables, workshops, member engagements)
  • Assist with preparation of event materials, registration lists, and on-site logistics
  • Support drafting of event-related communications (e.g. invitations, confirmations, post-event notes)
  • Assist with post-event documentation and reporting

4. Sustainability & ESG Communications

  • Support research and drafting of sustainability-related content under guidance
  • Assist in consolidating information and data for ESG-related outputs
  • Conduct basic research to support thought leadership and programme positioning

5. People & Culture Initiatives

  • Assist in drafting internal communications for culture and engagement initiatives
  • Support execution of internal activities and documentation of initiatives
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for People & Sustainability efforts

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or related fields
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage)
  • Detail-oriented with good organisational skills
  • Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, Canva or basic design tools is an advantage
