IT Platform Developer / Application Support Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile IT Platform Developer / Application Support Engineer with 5–6 years of experience to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that demands a blend of software development expertise and proactive system support. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability of our microservices-based platforms while contributing to the development and optimization of our cloud-based infrastructure.

• Language Requirement: Professional English Proficiency.

Technical Stack & Requirements

The ideal candidate must be proficient in the following technologies:

1. Backend & Scripting

• Programming: Strong development and debugging skills in Java, Node.js, and Python.
• Automation: Advanced Unix/Linux Shell Scripting for server-side task automation.

2. Cloud & DevOps

• Cloud Platform: Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and management.
• CI/CD: Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD for managing deployment pipelines and version control.

3. Architecture & Web

• APIs: Expert knowledge of Microservices architecture, REST, and SOAP web services.
• Frontend: Working knowledge of ReactJS and HTML5 to support full-stack application health.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for platform stability, performing root-cause analysis (RCA) for complex system issues.
• Platform Development: Assist in developing and enhancing platform features using Java, Node.js, and Python.
• Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain AWS-hosted environments to ensure 99.9% uptime.
• Pipeline Optimization: Manage and troubleshoot GitLab pipelines to ensure seamless code integration and delivery.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Local/BA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide status updates on system health.
