ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Our clients department is -wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the company. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, department is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank's growth ambition. Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end software development and support for Compliance Technology domain related applications. This includes overseeing complex technology projects, guiding the teams, and ensuring the delivery of high quality, scalable solutions and production support.
You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will partner closely with the Compliance Technology leads to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
Other responsibilities include:
• Support in solving production issues across Comp Tech applications and reduce the number of PBI to meet the SLA.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance in resolving complex technical problems.
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Incident & Problem Management, incident response and coordination across internal teams and vendors.
• Analyze issues thoroughly before escalating to vendors, ensuring efficient resolution.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base for recurring issues and fixes.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders during major incidents and planned changes.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
• Continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and support workflows.
• Plan & collaborate across different application teams to manage technical dependencies of the solution
• Plan, monitor and manage risks/issues related to technical delivery
• Ability to multitask effectively and handle large amounts of data
• Provide timely updates and report to management
Mandatory Skills Description:
• 3+years of proven experience in software development or support roles, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Must have good experience in system integration/interfacing design and delivery.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Proficient in scripting skills (Unix shell scripting or Bash or PowerShell).
• Solid database knowledge (SQL)
• Development experience in Java.
• DevOps change process and Tools familiarity (Bitbucket, Jenkins), Control-M, Aldon
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar domain
• Pro-active in contributing to your teams technical knowledge, by identifying training needs or requirements for yourself individually and for the team
• Adopt an uncompromising attitude when it comes to quality and help raise bar of products and team members
• Communicates effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
• Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges
• Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while exercising good judgment
• Leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to translate functional specifications into technological solutions
• Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
• Be able to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
• Familiarity with Compliance technology (KYC, Transaction Monitoring, FMF), AML or compliance-related systems is a plus.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube) will be an added advantage
• Additional professional/technical qualifications will be advantageous although not mandatory
