About the Company

Our client is a newly established and rapidly growing business arm under a reputable group, currently expanding its footprint across multiple industries including renewable energy, construction, project based operations, trading and commercial activities. With three active operating entities under its portfolio, the organisation is building a strong finance leadership team to support its next phase of growth, governance, and operational scalability.

As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a high-potential finance professional to take on a pivotal Consolidation Finance Manager role to drive group reporting, consolidation, governance, and strategic finance initiatives across the entities.

This role offers excellent exposure to multi-entity finance operations, senior stakeholder management, and the opportunity to be part of a business in its scaling phase.

Key Responsibilities

1) Financial Leadership & Reporting

  • Lead and oversee the Group Finance function, including financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with Bursa Malaysia requirements, IFRS/MFRS, statutory regulations, and internal governance standards
  • Oversee the preparation of annual reports, board papers, management reports, and regulatory submissions
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities across the Group

2) Group Consolidation & Compliance

  • Own and manage the Group consolidation process, including legal and management consolidation reporting
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, transparency, and reliability of financial information across business entities
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliation processes and consolidated adjustments in accordance with Group accounting policies
  • Maintain and enhance consolidation systems, reporting templates, and financial reporting infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate governance frameworks, tax regulations, and audit requirements

3) Strategic Finance & Corporate Exercises

  • Provide strategic financial analysis and commercial insights to support business growth and operational performance
  • Support corporate exercises including mergers & acquisitions, fundraising activities, restructuring, due diligence, and investment evaluations
  • Partner closely with business leaders to drive financial planning and strategic decision-making
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, financial metrics, and reporting dashboards to support performance management initiatives

4) Process Improvement & Governance

  • Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and reporting functions
  • Strengthen financial controls, risk management practices, and operational efficiencies
  • Drive standardisation and automation of finance processes and reporting practices across the Group
  • Ensure adherence to SHEQ, compliance, governance, and internal policy standards where applicable

5) Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and consolidation team
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and performance management initiatives within the department
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax agents, regulators, bankers, and key stakeholders
  • Present financial insights, performance updates, and strategic recommendations to senior management and the Board

Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including leadership exposure within a public listed company environment
  • Strong background in Group Reporting, Consolidation, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Compliance
  • Prior experience in a Big 4 or reputable audit firm is highly preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, Bursa Malaysia requirements, taxation, corporate governance, and financial controls
  • Proven experience in managing audits, group consolidation, and corporate exercises
  • Exposure to consolidation systems and financial reporting tools will be an added advantage
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and evolving business environment while driving strategic and operational improvements
