About the Role (Pinnacle Beverages Sdn Bhd)

The Manager, Trade Marketing role is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies to strengthen brand presence, maximize sales opportunities, and ensure excellence in in-store execution. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other teams to drive category growth and deliver against commercial objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

Trade Strategy & Planning

  • Develop annual trade marketing plans aligned with brand sales strategies.
  • Identify channel-specific opportunities to drive growth in both modern and traditional trade.
  • Optimize trade spend effectiveness through ROI analysis and budget management.

Promotion & Campaign Management

  • Design and execute trade promotions, in-store visibility campaigns, and merchandising strategies.
  • Coordinate with brand marketing on new product launches and ensure impactful rollouts at point of sale.
  • Monitor competitor activities and recommend counter-strategies.

Channel & Customer Management

  • Build strong partnerships with key retailers, distributors, and trade partners.
  • Customize channel programs (modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, wholesale) to drive sell-in and sell-out.
  • Support key account negotiations with trade marketing insights and activation plans.

Execution Excellence & Insights

  • Track and measure in-store execution quality, distribution, and display compliance.
  • Leverage shopper insights and market data to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide monthly reports on trade marketing performance, ROI, and key learnings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 58 years experience in Trade Marketing, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of trade channels (modern & general trade) and retail landscape.
  • Proven track record in planning and executing trade promotions and product launches.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Nielsen/retail audit data a plus.
