Key Responsibilities
- Evaluation and approvals (subject to personal to holder discretionary power) of credit applications from the respective Business Units within the SLA.
- Oversight of the banks credit policies (local and overseas), procedures and controls extending to all of its credit risks including those arising (without limitation) from corporate banking, treasury, credit cards, personal banking, trade finance, securities processing and financial institutions.
- Manages credit risks to ensure minimal deterioration of credit quality.
- Review accuracy of all mandatory input fields (i.e. CRR, Security, Facility Details and SIC codes) in the Credit application.
- Provide guidance to business unit to improve credit quality/underwriting skills.
- The assessment of credit application includes evaluation of ESG assessment and rating during customer on-boarding process and annual reviews.
- When BC submits any credit application/credit request/ reviews which involves group accounts, CED Managers must ensure the credit application is assessed by the Group Account Credit Manager (GACM) before submission to CED.
Requirements
- Recognized University qualification preferably in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics.
- At least 8 years of relevant credit and marketing experience.
- Good credit analytical and managerial skills supported by experienced business acumen.
