About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Executive to support the branding, outreach, and lead-generation efforts for our JTK-compliant foreign worker hostel in Tebrau. You will drive marketing content, digital presence, HR manager outreach activities, and support occupancy growth through targeted campaigns.
This role requires someone hands-on, resourceful, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders (HR agencies, employers, hostels ops team, vendors).
Responsibilities
1. Digital Marketing & Content Creation
- Manage KRU's social media platforms (Facebook Page, Google Business, WhatsApp Business), including content planning, posting, and enquiries.
- Create simple marketing materials (posters, videos, photos, flyers) to promote available rooms/beds, promotions, and hostel facilities.
- Update online listings with accurate photos, room details, and promotional information.
- Monitor analytics and engagement metrics; propose content improvements.
2. Lead Generation & Occupancy Growth
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns to increase occupancy (e.g., promotions, RM180/head campaigns, festive vouchers).
- Follow up with enquiries from HR agencies, employers, and tenant leads.
- Support on-site marketing activities such as open-house sessions, walk-ins, and tenant referral programs.
- Build and maintain a contact list of HR managers, manpower suppliers, and employers.
3. Outreach & Relationship-Building
- Support the organization of HR Manager events, site tours, and networking sessions.
- Coordinate with employers, agents, and HR teams to understand their accommodation needs.
- Assist in developing partnerships with manpower agencies and corporate clients.
4. Branding & Communications
- Ensure consistent branding across all marketing materials.
- Draft simple copywriting for social posts, promotions, announcements, and hostel notices.
- Collaborate with the operations team to align marketing efforts with real-time occupancy and site readiness.
5. Administrative & Reporting Support
- Prepare monthly marketing reports: lead sources, conversion rates, occupancy impact, and campaign performance.
- Maintain digital asset folders (photos, videos, documents).
- Assist the operations team with marketing-related documentation, media storage, and compliance photos for JTK submissions when needed.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 3 years experience in marketing, digital marketing, content creation, or sales support (fresh graduates are welcome with strong interest in marketing).
- Basic skills in Canva / CapCut / simple design or video editing tools.
- Strong communication and copywriting skills.
- Proactive, creative, and able to work independently.
- Ability to coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and internal teams.
- Advantage: Experience in property marketing, hostel/dormitory marketing, real estate listings, or B2B outreach.
