Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Manager to support testing and commissioning activities for mission-critical data center projects. This site-based role will work closely with the project teams to manage and verify mechanical commissioning activities during the construction phase.
The role focuses on ensuring mechanical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with the design intent and applicable industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Support the development and implementation of mechanical testing and commissioning strategies for data center projects.
- Manage and execute construction-phase mechanical testing and commissioning activities.
- Witness, document, and sign off on mechanical testing and commissioning activities.
- Review and validate test plans, test results, and commissioning documentation against defined acceptance criteria.
- Support Test, Adjust and Balance (TAB) activities, including review of TAB plans, verification of results, and confirmation of system performance.
- Analyze test results and assist with troubleshooting mechanical system and equipment issues, including root-cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with project managers, construction teams, vendors, and clients.
- Conduct regular site walks to monitor installation progress, quality, and readiness for testing
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in data center projects, with direct involvement in commissioning preferred
- Strong knowledge of data center mechanical systems, including chilled water plants, fan wall units, CRAH/CRAC, HVAC systems, fuel oil systems, CDUs, and mechanical BMS integration.
- Experience supporting EPC or design-build projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with commissioning and construction management tools such as CxAlloy, ACC/BIM 360, or similar platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
- Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, site-based construction environment with multiple stakeholders.
