Job Description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Receiving Team Leader at MKS greenfield organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the inbound and receiving operations of a Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW), ensuring smooth import of goods in logistics operations.

You Will Make an Impact by:

- As a Team Leader will act as a logistics facilitator to coordinate daily inbound receiving schedules, carrier bookings, pick up arrangements and shipping documentation (AWB/BOL, commercial invoices, packing lists) with internal department, 3rd party warehouse and freight forwarders to ensure seamless and timely receive of shipments to meet customer requirements.

- Optimize transportation routes and freight costs (air, sea, road) to meet commit date.

- Receiving goods, unload, sort, physical check conditions and deviation, record receiving data, labelling and managing transfer to storage or distribution.

- Coordinate with procurement departments to resolve receiving discrepancies or quality issues.

- Liaise with Incoming Quality team for inspection and put away.

- Organize received items in designated storage locations, ensuring efficient inventory management.

- Identify and resolve discrepancies in shipments, such as damaged goods, short-shipments, or billing errors during billing verification.

- Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems.

- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile inventory discrepancies.

- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points, coordinating with purchasing to replenish stock as needed.

- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to fulfill orders and meet shipping deadlines.

- Provide guidance and training to junior shippers/receivers as needed.

- Ensure accurate handling of receiving documentation for traceability, customs filing and audit purpose.

- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to address any challenges or concerns.

- Recommend ongoing improvements to receiving procedures to enhance efficiency, compliance, and cost saving.

Skills You Bring:

- Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant

- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a LMW environment.

- Fresh graduates with following traits such as mature mindset, has initiative, self-motivated, responsible, works with integrity and sense of urgency with minimum supervision are encouraged to apply.

- A team player with a positive attitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask to resolve issues efficiently and work well under pressure.

- Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (Oracle EBS) and Microsoft Excel.

- Basic knowledge on transportation, customs documentation, HS codes, duty and tax.

- Effective leadership skill, high adaptability, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand

- Ability to operates a computer and other warehouse machinery eg. pallet truck and forklift would be a plus point.
