Operations Manager

Location: Subang Jaya, Malaysia

Compensation: $124,950 – 147,000 MYR

Lead the Operations Supporting Critical Energy & Industrial Infrastructure

This is not a traditional operations management role.

This is an opportunity to lead a highly visible service and repair operation supporting mission-critical cryogenic equipment and industrial infrastructure used across LNG, industrial gas, marine, and clean energy markets worldwide.

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of a fast-paced aftermarket service customer center — driving operational performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, workshop efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will directly impact service delivery, operational excellence, and long-term business growth.

You'll collaborate across operations, engineering, finance, customer service, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure repairs, maintenance, and aftermarket support activities are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Operational Leadership

  • Lead all aspects of the aftermarket services customer center including workshop operations, scheduling, customer support, and service delivery
  • Develop and execute operational strategies focused on revenue growth, profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Implement and monitor KPIs aligned with operational and business objectives
  • Ensure quality, safety, compliance, and on-time delivery standards are consistently achieved

Financial & Business Management

  • Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting activities
  • Monitor operational costs while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency
  • Analyze operational and financial performance data to support strategic business decisions

Workshop & Service Operations

  • Oversee repair, overhaul, maintenance, and aftermarket service activities
  • Coordinate labor planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to support operational demands
  • Drive inventory management, warehouse efficiency, and materials planning initiatives
  • Ensure workshop operations align with customer commitments and service expectations

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop administrative, customer service, and workshop operations personnel
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and ongoing employee development initiatives
  • Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence across teams

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, operational, and regulatory requirements
  • Support lean manufacturing, 6S, ISO, and process optimization initiatives
  • Collaborate with global operational teams to align best practices and service standards
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field OR equivalent operational leadership experience
  • 5–7+ years of progressive operations leadership experience within industrial manufacturing, aftermarket services, repair operations, or technical service environments
  • Strong business and financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, operational analysis, and resource management
  • Experience leading workshop, repair, service, or industrial operational teams
  • Background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to operate in fast-paced industrial environments
  • Proven leadership experience building, mentoring, and motivating high-performing teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while driving operational efficiency and profitability
  • Experience with ERP systems, operational reporting, inventory management, and production scheduling
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership capabilities
