Quality Specialist – SampleManager (Thermo Fisher LIMS)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Quality Specialist with hands-on experience in SampleManager (Thermo Fisher LIMS) to support laboratory and quality operations. This is a functional/business-facing role, working closely with QA/QC teams, lab users, and IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a bridge between business (QA/QC, lab users) and IT
- Support lab workflows (sample lifecycle, testing, reporting)
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications & configurations
- Perform functional configuration & validation support
- Handle L2 support (incident & issue resolution)
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance
- Participate in SIT/UAT testing
- Support documentation (SOPs, process flows, user guides)
- Collaborate on enhancements, integrations, and system improvements
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years in: SampleManager (Thermo Fisher LIMS) OR
- Strong LIMS + QA/QC functional experience with exposure to SampleManager
Strong understanding of:
- Laboratory operations (QA/QC, testing workflows, sample lifecycle)
- Quality management processes
Experience in:
- Functional configuration / business analysis
- User support & issue troubleshooting
- Basic familiarity with SQL / data validation
- Experience in SLA / ticket-based environments
Preferred:
- Oil & Gas / Chemicals / Manufacturing background
- Exposure to GxP / compliance frameworks
- Experience with enterprise/global systems
- Integration knowledge (nice to have)
Soft Skills:
- Strong stakeholder communication (Business + IT)
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently
- Prioritize candidates with SampleManager (Thermo Fisher)
- Must have QA/QC / Lab functional knowledge (not purely technical)
- Look for business-facing profiles (BA, QA Specialist, LIMS Functional)
- Strong support experience (ticketing, issue handling) is important
- Location: KL-based or open to relocate
