Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Cyberjaya. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents for interior design and fit-out projects. Responsibilities include monitoring project budgets, tracking variations, evaluating quotations, and preparing progress claims and final accounts. The role involves cost planning from design development through construction, providing cost advice to the design team, and ensuring cost efficiency without compromising design quality. The Quantity Surveyor will also liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, support contract administration, and maintain accurate cost records and reports for ongoing and completed projects.
Qualifications
- Strong cost planning and cost management skills, including the ability to forecast, analyze, and optimize project budgets.
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation, measurement, and tender documentation for interior design and fit-out works.
- Experience in cost control and cost reporting, including monitoring expenditures, tracking variations, and preparing financial summaries.
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with interior design, fit-out, or construction industry standards, methods of measurement, and basic contract administration.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate clearly with designers, contractors, suppliers, and clients, and to work collaboratively in a project team.
- Proficiency in relevant QS and office software (e.g., MS Excel, measurement software); CAD familiarity is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Cyberjaya and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
