Responsibilities
- Promote/lead the site to ensure a thorough risk assessments are done by the respective sites management team, to identify potential hazards in the
workplace. - Regularly perform safety audits to analyze and evaluate the level of risk associated with various tasks, equipment, or processes.
- Ensure the stakeholders implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with internal/Regional Procedures (OSCPs), customer requirements, local regulations and/or industry standards as appropriate.
- Ensure communication on safety guidelines to employees are in place and ensuring colleagues understand and in compliance.
- Review & validate via KPI's that HSE Resources and respective site management are implementing effective HSE Management system.
- Implement safety training programs for employees to raise awareness and promote a safety culture which includes inductions, toolbox talks and MHE trainings.
- Ensures that there's a mechanism for employees to be well-informed about safety
procedures, emergency protocols, and the proper use of safety equipment.< /li> - Jointly investigate and ensures documentation on workplace accidents, incidents, or near misses with the respective Site Management team.
- Analyzing the root causes of incidents to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
- Report findings and recommends corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (Health, Safety & Environment/Technical/Engineering University)
- Minimum 2 years working experience in the logistics / supply chain industry with background in operations and team management.
- Possess good understand and knowledge on HSE regulatory/ legal compliance
in Malaysia is an advantage. - Established capability in doing root cause analysis / problem solving.
- Knowledge on OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001.
- Certified SHO is an added advantage.
- Well-versed with the MHEs operation in technical knowledge.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office to analyse data, produce reports and deliver presentations.
