About the Role

We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Sales Manager to lead and expand our business operations in Johor Bahru. This is a mid-senior level role suited for candidates with strong experience in static and rotating mechanical equipment and a proven track record in technical sales or business development.

Encord Sdn Bhd is a valve supply and service company under the Exion Asia Group. Over the years, Encord has been expanding steadily in the industries, with the acquisition of several established product agencies. We are making READY TO SERVE our special undertaking coupled with the understanding of the nature these industries operate. As suggested by our 25 years of professional service, Encord has mastered the tricks of the trade. We have consulted and worked with a multitude of industries namely Palm Oil Refineries, Palm Oil Mills, Oleochemicals, Food & Beverages, Pharmaceuticals, Steam & Thermal Oil Boiler Applications, Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Water Treatments, Shipyards and General Industries to successfully cater to their valve requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sales activities and manage key customer accounts in Johor and surrounding regions.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in the petrochemical and general industries.
• Identify new business opportunities and cultivate long-term client relationships.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions and proposals.
• Prepare quotations, conduct technical presentations, and manage the full sales cycle from lead to close.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
• Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales or business development, specifically in static and rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, valves, turbines).
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in preparing technical and commercial proposals.
• Must own a car and possess a valid driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, or power generation sectors.
• Familiarity with Malaysian industrial customer landscape.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
