Job Description

Job purpose:

  • Scrutinize daily system changes based on the relevance, timeliness, priority and importance of changes introduced into the system, across the Maybank Group, which may include subsidiaries and Overseas Units.
  • Identify and highlight to Line Manager, known or potential issues associated with any system change introduced.
  • Closely monitor all outstanding system change requests awaiting consideration or action; diagnose and refer back any system changes that have backed out.
  • Promote compliance culture among stakeholders in overall IT Change Management policies, procedures, processes and standard practices.
  • Ensure the execution of the established and revised system workflow complying with the Regional SDLC processes so that synchronization and standardization across the Maybank Group is firmly grounded.

Job descriptions:

  • Scrutinize daily system change - All system changes comply with Group policy and system change procedure.
  • Identify and highlight issues related to system changes - Major system implementations are compliant and not disrupted by unplanned system changes.
  • Monitor all outstanding system changes to establish their statuses - Comply to SDLC and changes are closed upon completion.
  • Instill continuous process improvement of IT Change Management - Monitor and track changes raised so as to ensure compliant with IT Change Management Procedure, administer ITSM tool usage (for CM) and solicit feedback from IT Change Management stakeholders.
  • Monitor usage of the change management tools; being carried out in a timely, efficient and effective manner - Monitor, verify and perform independent assessment as part of IT Change Management and assess and conclude on overall system change management maturity level, organize and coordinate the related change management circulation that applies to overall IT processes and procedure, validate and monitor the key performance indicator to track effectiveness of change management process.
  • Highlight to Unit Head to authorize or reject system changes based on a comprehensive system change criteria - System changes allowed to be implemented must meet SLA with minimized system down-time.

Job requirement:

  • Possess a professional qualification with a recognized Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business IT or any related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, Six Sigma, CISA or other related professional IT certifications would be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of two to three years of professional experience in IT change management, service management, or a related field, particularly in the MNC or financial institution sector.
  • Knowledge and experience at ITIL Foundation Level and Change Management practitioner level.
  • Possess sound knowledge on various technology stacks, system development life cycle, Agile methodology, IT infrastructure, and Service Management daily operation in enterprise scale working environment.
  • Possess strong technical background (e.g. Infra related (Networking, Wintel, Unix, Storage, and application related to banking environment).
