Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform Administration
- Maintain records of configuration for all Red Hat OpenShift On-Prem clusters including connectivity to peripheral components.
- Configure and maintain OpenShift clusters for different environments.
(i) Setup and maintain OpenShift clusters role-based access control, permissions and network policies.
(ii) Setup and maintain for new namespace/project.
(iii) Application scaling based on business needs.
- Automate OpenShift cluster operation.
- Log management, alert setup and monitoring using ELK/EFK stack in OCP.
- Perform helath check regularly to ensure Red Hat OpenShift clusters running on the optimal workload and resources.
- Plan and execute Openshift patches and upgrades to ensure latest security patches, bug fixes and features deployed to all environments.
- Administration of 3scale API gateway in OCP.
- Administration of Red Hat SSO (KeyCloak) in OCP
Red Hat OpenShift Cluster Support
- Record, track, and manage incidents related to OpenShift cluster operations.
- Provide first-level support for issues related to Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
- Act as the point of contact to coordinate with relevant teams (e.g., RedHat, Infrastructure, and Security teams) when escalation or collaboration is required.
Preventive Maintenance and Continuous Improvement
- Conduct periodic assessments of OpenShift environments, including configuration, policies, architecture, and Red Hat patch levels, to ensure continuous improvement.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities and advise on security hardening requirements after evaluating penetration test result.
- Evaluate penetration test results and provide recommendations for security hardening and remediation.
Technical Guidance
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on day-to-day support tasks and operational best practices.
Requirements
- Experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift administration.
- Knowledge of container runtimes (Docker / CRI-O).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Helm, GitOps tools, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (ELK/EFK, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Understanding of security concepts including RBAC, network policies, and SSO/Keycloak.
- Solid foundation in Linux, networking, storage, and on-premises infrastructure architecture.
