Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Selangor, Malaysia. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents for HVAC, clean room, electrical, and utility system projects. Responsibilities include monitoring project budgets, tracking expenditures, and implementing cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, evaluating variations and claims, and ensuring accurate cost reporting and documentation. The Quantity Surveyor will also support cost planning during design and pre-construction stages and contribute to continuous improvement of cost management practices.
Qualifications
Cost Control and Cost Management skills to monitor budgets, manage expenditures, and maintain financial efficiency across projects.
Experience in BOQ preparation and Cost Planning to develop accurate quantities, estimates, and tender documentation.
Ability in Cost Reporting to produce timely, clear, and reliable financial reports for internal and client stakeholders.
Relevant experience in construction, M&E, HVAC, or clean room projects, preferably within industrial or commercial building environments.
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in MS Excel and cost estimation or QS software; familiarity with contract standards and basic legal/contractual concepts.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
