Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing extractions of audit data, sample selection, conduct Pre-Audit Risk Assessment/ Audit Planning, on the business/operations units to be audited.
  • Ensure all audit assignments are carried out within the allocated budget and excess (if any) to be justified accordingly. Discharge duties and responsibilities as delegated and completed the task within the timeframe as allocated.
  • Ensure all operational lapses and weaknesses identified are highlighted raised for management's information and consideration, for the next course of actions.
  • Ensure that the audit findings highlighted are based on sufficient factual evidence, appropriate, logical/ valid and provide value added recommendations for improvement of the entities audited.
  • Ensure the working papers are prepared comprehensively according to the department's standard for each of the audit engagement and properly keep in the Audit Management System/ IAD Sharepoint for future reference.
  • Ensure all the findings are resolved as agreed by the management, by continuously following-up on the status/progress of the unresolved audit findings/ recommendations. Subsequently, to provide status update to CIA Office on periodic basis (monthly/ quarterly).
  • Assist in reviewing and providing feedback on policies and procedures and other consultancy services requested by the Management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economic, Islamic Banking or other related fields
  • At least 3 years auditing experience of Commercial and/or Corporate Banking Portfolio
  • Certified Banking Auditor (CBA)
  • Certification in Credit (Business/ Retail Credit Professional / Certified Credit Executive)
  • Any professional qualification in Islamic Finance, Accounting, Risk Management etc.
  • Skills/Competency:
  • Financial Analysis and Business Credit analysis/ structuring/ documentation/ reporting
  • Competency in Microsoft Office
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good report writing skills
  • Risk-based audit and internal control framework knowledge/experience
  • Exposure in Data Analytic and use of Audit Command Language tool would be an added advantage
