Job Title: Manager, Partnership Management
Job Description: In this role, you will lead publisher partnerships across Asia, grow licensing and partnership revenue, and create new opportunities through local-language content, co-publishing, digital products, and strategic content collaborations. The position brings together partnership management, commercial negotiation, market development, and cross-functional leadership to expand Pearson's reach and digital learning ecosystem.
The Role
As Manager, Partnership Management, you will shape and deliver Pearson's publisher partnership strategy across Asia. You will manage and expand a portfolio of publisher relationships, develop commercially strong licensing and co-publishing agreements, and identify new routes to market through content, technology, and partner-led growth.
From day one, you will build trusted relationships with publishers, content owners, and industry stakeholders while working across internal teams to turn opportunities into sustainable commercial outcomes. Your early impact will come from strengthening the partnership pipeline, identifying portfolio growth opportunities, and helping partners participate more fully in Pearson's digital ecosystem.

What You'll Own
- Develop and execute the publisher partnership strategy across Asia, aligned with regional and global priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with leading publishers, content owners, and industry stakeholders across key markets.
- Identify and secure new partnership opportunities that expand market reach and drive licensing and partnership revenue.
- Lead negotiations for translation, adaptation, reprint, digital licensing, and co-publishing agreements.
- Manage the existing publisher portfolio, identifying opportunities for expansion, renewal, and long-term value creation.
- Create commercial agreements that balance revenue growth, partner needs, and strategic value.
- Explore partnership opportunities involving Pearson eText, All Access, AI-enabled study tools, and other digital learning solutions.
- Monitor publishing trends, competitor activity, regulatory changes, and market opportunities to inform priorities and investment decisions.
- Partner with Product, Sales, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Technology teams to support go-to-market initiatives and effective execution.
- Act as a key liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders, bringing market and partner insights into regional growth planning.
About You
You bring strong experience in publisher partnerships, licensing, business development, or strategic account management, together with the commercial judgment and relationship-building skills needed to grow complex partnerships across markets.
- Strong commercial negotiation and contract management skills.
- A track record of building and growing strategic partnerships and delivering revenue growth through partner ecosystems.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess markets, prioritize opportunities, and translate insights into action.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across internal and external audiences.
- The ability to work effectively across multiple countries, cultures, and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Asian publishing markets is preferred.
- Experience with digital content, learning platforms, or software-as-a-service business models is an advantage.
- An understanding of content licensing, copyright, and intellectual property frameworks is preferred.
- Experience in higher education, educational publishing, or education technology is an advantage.
