Position: Business Development Manager (Pet Pharmaceuticals)

Brand: TerraePawz

Location: The Atmosphere, Sri Kembangan

Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

To spearhead TerraePawzs product and business development initiatives, focusing on creating, refining, and expanding innovative veterinary medicine and pet healthcare solutions. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new product opportunities, driving market entry strategies, and building TerraePawz as the most trusted pet pharmaceutical brand in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Innovation

Conduct market research to identify gaps and opportunities in the pet medicine and supplements market.

Collaborate with R&D, regulatory, and manufacturing partners to develop innovative, safe, and effective veterinary products (antibiotics, antifungals, dewormers, supplements, etc.).

Benchmark TerraePawz products against global leaders and ensure world-class quality.

Drive new product launch strategy from concept to market rollout.

Business Growth & Strategy

Develop and implement strategic business plans to grow TerraePawz brand presence in Malaysia and internationally.

Identify new markets, distribution channels, partnerships, and collaborations (veterinary clinics, pharmacies, e-commerce, pet shops).

Create competitive pricing, branding, and go-to-market strategies.

Build relationships with key stakeholders veterinarians, distributors, regulators, and pet owners.

Regulatory & Compliance

Ensure all products meet DVS (Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia), NPRA, and international regulatory requirements.

Stay updated on pet pharmaceutical regulations and compliance changes.

Work closely with regulatory consultants to ensure smooth product registrations and approvals.

Marketing & Branding Support

Collaborate with the marketing team to position TerraePawz as a trusted, premium brand.

Provide product knowledge and technical input for campaigns, product labels, brochures, and social media.

Represent TerraePawz in trade shows, veterinary conferences, and industry networking events.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Build and manage a small team to support product development and business expansion.

Provide training and development for internal teams on product knowledge and market strategy.

Report progress, risks, and opportunities directly to top management.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelors or Masters degree in Veterinary Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Business Development, or related field.

Minimum 5 years experience in veterinary pharmaceuticals, pet healthcare, or pharmaceutical business development.

Strong knowledge of pet medicine regulations (DVS, NPRA) and product registration processes.

Proven track record in product launches and business growth in the veterinary or healthcare industry.

Skills & Attributes

Strong understanding of veterinary medicine trends, competitor landscape, and market needs.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills.

Strategic thinker with ability to turn ideas into successful products.

Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for pets and animal health.

Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus (Preferred)

Existing network of veterinarians, distributors, and suppliers.

Experience in OEM/ODM product sourcing from China/India/Europe.

Familiarity with herbal/natural supplements for pets.

Knowledge of digital sales channels (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Amazon).
